Pedalink

Founder’s story

Back on the bike.
Building with purpose.

I’m Vivan, a passionate 16-year-old cyclist who lives and dreams about cycling.

A love of cycling. A road through recovery. A purpose in rider safety.

Empowering rider safety,
one rider at a time.

Why I’m building Pedalink

Cycling is my freedom: early starts, steep climbs and the joy of going further than yesterday.

Every ride brings a chance to explore, clear my head and spend time doing what I love.

An accident interrupted that freedom and left me with a fractured elbow. In a moment, a familiar ride became a situation where I needed someone else’s help.

A close friend reached my parents and helped me get immediate care at a nearby hospital. I was lucky to have someone beside me who knew whom to call.

One surgery, three screws and 19 staples followed. Recovery meant four months away from cycling before I gradually found my way back to the bike.

Later, one thought stayed with me: what if I had been alone? Not every rider has a friend beside them when something happens. So I built Pedalink to create a small connection to someone who cares, even when you are riding alone.

The experience also made me recognise the question many cyclists carry quietly: “What if something happens?”

Safety should support the freedom to ride, not become the reason someone is afraid to explore, train, race or enjoy the road. That is why I am building Pedalink: to give cyclists practical safety tools and help important rider-provided information reach the right people when it may be needed.

I want Pedalink to represent more than a product. I want it to represent confidence for riders who refuse to let fear decide where the road takes them.

I got back on the bike. Now I want to help more cyclists feel confident doing the same.
